This is an excellent 3-book series that discusses about traits and virtues of concentration, patience and perseverance from the perspective of a little girl named Grace. Author-illustrator, Eric Liao identifies each character trait with a key attitude or behaviour that gets repeated throughout the book which helps to reinforce the understanding. Through the nurturing guidance of her daddy, Grace is able to put what she learned to practice in her daily life as well as school.
Eric superbly explains these important yet somewhat abstract character traits using very simple text and drawing examples that are easy to understand. The repetitive echoing of the key attitude or behaviour attributed to the character traits will be etched in the minds of the young readers by the time they finish the series. Highly recommended for 3yo and up.
